You may have heard that the "money" is in your list, but the truth is, the money is in the buyers on your list? You could have a list of 10,000 people but if no one buys anything from you, what good is the list? If you expect to make money online with your homebased business, then the key to good business is to have a list of people willing to buy what you have to offer.

So what does a person do to get more buyers for their business? There are several ways one could go about that but here are just a few. First, you want to have a product that a majority of people can afford, are willing to buy, and the product is useful to the buyer. Your goal is to have a product that delivers what it promises to deliver and will actually help the buyer in some way.

You could decide on a product in any number of ways. For example, you could write a short report on something that you know a lot about or maybe you are an expert at something and you could create a product from this. It just needs to be short, to the point, and provides some useful information. You could also market Click Bank products through the clickbank marketplace by finding some of the best selling products and market those yourself. If you choose to go the Click Bank route, your products will already be priced for you, but if you create your very own product, you'll need to decide on a price for the product. Future products could be priced higher than your previous $7 product. Say $27 for example. 8. Generate More Leads With Social Networking Etiquette
Social Networking has become one of the best ways to generate more leads for your business on the internet today. If you decide to use Social Networking for your business advertising and marketing, be sure you are familiar with some basic etiquette.

So what exactly is proper etiquette when you participate in social networking sites like MySpace, Facebook, Zenzuu, etc? Well, for starters, you can't be there just to make a buck off of somebody. 9. Can You Write Your Way To A Lead?
Do you believe you can write your way to more leads and website traffic? You can! You'll be shocked at how well it works and you don't have to be a professional writer.

Now you might be wondering what I mean when I say "write your way to more leads". Well, it is actually very easy. You simply write articles, newsletters, blogs, ads, and/or emails and you don't have to have a degree to do it. If you can talk about something, anything, you can do all these things I've mentioned. Obviously, the more you can talk about things that people want to hear about most, the more people will be reading what you write. When they read your blogs, articles, or newsletter, you have a captive audience in which to develop a relationship and possible business partnership. The more value you can provide in the things you write, the more people will gravitate to what you write. Did I mention that creating good content gets you ranked higher in Search Engines too. Be sure to put lots of good keywords for your topic into what you write too.

Why provide value? Well, there are tons and tons of people out there that are trying to take something from people - mostly their money. Most people do not want to be SOLD something - they would rather make a choice and buy something if they really see it providing a benefit to them. Your job is to simply provide the value and let a website visitor make the choice themselves, without all the hype, garbage and hard sell.

So to get started, decide what you want to talk about ( hopefully something that relates to what ever business you happen to be building) and decide how you want to convey your message.(articles, blogs, emails, etc.) Once you've done that, you need to decide who your target audience is and what they need or want. You need to provide the answer to their most pressing need and desire and offer them a solution and a way to continue to get more information. You can do this through an opt in page to your monthly newsletter or used follow up emails that you send through an autoresponder system. The great thing about autoresponders is that you can set them up to send messages every day, week, or month and you don't have to worry about it after that. Just make sure you have a specific number of messages that maintain contact with your lead. They say it takes at least 7 contacts with a person before they will trust you enough to do business with you, especially on the internet.

Now creating content does not always come easy for most people and it certainly didn't for me. I had to find some online training that would teach me the things I needed to know about how to go about this, and create some highly effective content. Although you don't have to have a degree to write content, there are secrets to know that just give you that edge. 10. Prospecting Your Way To Network Marketing Success
You most likely already know that if you expect to have success in your homebased business, you are going to need website traffic that generates leads for you to talk to. One of the most important aspects of your business will be your Prospecting.

So how does a person prospect their way to Network Marketing Success? Honestly, there could be a lot of ways to do it but I want to talk about just a couple.

Before you can start Prospecting (calling your leads), you need to generate some leads in the first place. You could buy some quality leads to get started right away, and you can generate some leads on your own. Now when I first got started, I generated my own leads while trying my hand at Google Pay Per Click (PPC). I did get some leads but I also got a huge credit card bill because I had no idea what I was doing, and I paid for it.

You could save some money and put ads out on all the free classified sites on the internet (there are hundreds of them) or you could pay for ads in several different papers nationwide, or even online. I found newspaper ads to be too time consuming and you have to work a little bit to get good bargains on cost of your ad, how long it will post, and on what days it will post. Personally, I prefer marketing and advertising my business strictly on the internet, it's just easier that way for me. You will have to decide for yourself what style of advertising you prefer. I have found a way to blast ads to the search engines which has proven to be very effective. They rarely get seen by people, but that's ok, the point is to have the search engine spiders to find them. When the search engine spiders find enough of your website links, they begin to rank you. More links mean a higher rating. Can you imagine what you could accomplish in Search Engine Optimization if you are able to blast 2 billion ads daily? Another very effective way to generate tons of leads that want to talk to you and look forward to your call, is through Social Networking resources like MySpace, Facebook, and many many others. These avenues of business building can actually be somewhat fun to participate in. You make friends, play games, and keep in touch with each other through different program applications. Facebook is especially fun for that.

If you are really building your business on a budget, you might just try creating tons of content pages. Programs like Squidoo.com make it very easy to create some content on just about anything you want to write about. You don't have to be an expert to create a squidoo lens, they are free, and very easy to do. These also are very effective at getting you ranked in the search engines. Just be sure to decide upon the best keywords for your business and use them in your lens. Add some photos, maybe a video or two, and you've got some great content that people will be attracted to.

If you start implementing one or all of the things I've mentioned above, you are going to have a boat load of leads to call. As you well know, it's important to call a new lead as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the more your lead has a chance to find someone elses business. So how does one human being go about contacting 100-200 leads a day?( or even just 25-50 a day) Easy, you might consider using an Automated Prospecting System. Imagine how much business you could get done in one day if you were able to call 100's or even 1000's of people in the span of a few hours. More importantly, why not make the best use of your time and week through the curious and the tire kickers and just talk to people that are really serious about a home based business. Even more important, if an automated prospecting system works very well for you, and generates tons of leads, business, and sales - imagine how easy it will be for your new associates to duplicate your process. After all, there is nothing better than a team of people that can REALLY make money like the person that signed them up. Business blooms when everyone is making some money. Don't you think?

Of course, you can always call your leads one by one and spend an entire day doing it. I would rather not spend every waking hour of my day working my business. After all, I left my job because I didn't want to do that. I'd rather be spending time with my family, traveling, and enjoying my retirement while I'm still young enough to do so.

11. Are You Twittering Yet?
In my last post I talked about blogging and briefly mentioned Twitter.com. Twitter is one of the most recent new things to come about in the area of Social Networking. You see, Twitter goes along the same principles of Facebook and MySpace where you make new friends and keep in touch with them through messages, posts to their wall, or various program applications. The difference with Twitter is that it is all done on a much smaller scale. Instead of creating pages of blogs or large profiles, you simply micro blog (give 2-3 sentences) and people that have chosen to follow you, receive any updates you make on your twitter page.

One of the key things about Twitter is to follow other people, and be followed. Imagine you have 150 people who have seen your abbreviated profile on twitter and have decided to follow you. When ever you update your twitter account, the people that follow you recieve your update. Maybe you mention an Online Training Course you are attending and you give them an affiliate link. Some of the people that follow you might just check out the link and then end up visiting your website. If they happen to opt in to your program, they become leads of yours. Once they have opted in and have agreed to receive emails from you, your goal is to develop and maintain an ongoing relationship with them and assist them in building their business.

It is very important at this point that you provide some value to your lead. There are already too many people on the internet that just have websites full of the same old hype about Homebased business. Your goal should be to give them something they can use for their business building. If the information you provide is quality info and useful for their home business, they will want to come back to your website frequently.

Maybe you haven't gotten involved in Social Networking, or Attraction Marketing aspect of the Network Marketing industry. This can be one of the easiest and most cost effective ways to advertise and market your business. (can you say free advertising). 14. Is Your Lead Generation Strategy Working For You?
If you are working a Homebased Business on the internet today, lead generation, and how you go about it is a significant part of your business. Is the strategy you are using working for you? Are you generating the number, and type of lead you want to get in front of your business? If not, I have some good news for you.

You have several options today when marketing and advertising your business on the internet. You can post classified ads, both paid and free, pay per click (PPC) ads, you can create solo ads, participate in ezines, write articles, even send out emails to your list. Maybe your blogging, participating in traffic exchanges, and have profiles on every social networking site out there. All those things work, and most work very well, but how do you really get the most bang for your buck?

15. Don't Be Distracted By The Rest, Put This To The Test
Have you tried free classifieds, Traffic Exchanges, Solo Ads, Ezine Articles, and just about anything else you could find out there? If you are like most Network Marketers, you find lead generation to be one of the most frustrating parts of building your homebased business. Getting enough people to view your website can be a huge challenge but certainly not impossible.

So what is the secret to generating tons of traffic to your website?

You need to meet the need of the market of people you are targeting. You need to provide some value to the people you are looking for. What do you offer your prospects that makes you the better choice out of the thousands of other people doing business on the internet?

If you have not done a search lately in Google for a Home Based Business then you might be in for a surprise when the results come back. As of this posting the search results show 39,900,000 listings for home based business. If you tried to compete with the keyword "home based business" in Google adwords, you would probably be paying a very pretty penny for pay per click advertising. The keyword "Network Marketing" brings back 48,500,000 results. How does a new home business owner compete in online advertising and marketing?

It's fairly easy to get your ads out there and get some traffic without having to go broke paying for pay per click (PPC) Google Adwords if you know the secrets of Internet Marketing. When I first began in this industry I had no clue what I was doing. I figured it was easy enough to created a PPC ad, choose the best keywords, and start competing. What I didn't know was how quickly my credit card would be maxed out because I had to pay a lot to compete with the Big Dawgs for the best keywords. I had no idea that I could use variations of the best keywords, pay less, and still rank in the search engines. After all, if you don't rank on the first 2-3 pages, no one is going to see your ad. Not very many people bother searching past the first few pages and won't likely be looking around on page 10 through 20.

The key to generating the kind of traffic you need is knowing how to go about it the right way. How do you get yourself ranked without having to pay through the nose. It's easy, you learn from the best, don't let yourself be distracted by the rest, and you put what you learn to the test. ( I know,sounds corny, but hey - it rhymes). The best sources of quality online training that I have found are provided by two people - Mike Dillard (Building on a Budget), and Mike Klingler (Renegade University). What makes them the best? Simple, they are both affordable and they both provide training that shows you how to build your business even if you don't have a lot of money to do it. You don't have to have $1000's of dollars to be able to have a successful business. Both of these training programs provide step by step instruction, great support, excellent forums, and they keep you up to date on the latest techniques working on the internet. Techniques like "Twitter" where you create a network of friends and you share with them through mini blogs, and Squidoo pages, where you talk about anything you want and attract people to your site.

Social Networking and Attraction Marketing are very popular, easy, and affordable ways to promote your business and anyone can do this. Believe it or not, MySpace is not just for school kids anymore.

16. You Have A Homebased Business, Now What?
You finally decided on a Home Based Business, you joined, paid your fees, and now you are ready to get going. What do you do now?

First, you want to get familiar with your business and your back office area. Find out when the training calls are, when the Business Overview Calls are and how to send new prospects to the calls. You'll most likely have links in your back office that say something like " Get Started Here", or "Begin Here" and obviously, that's the best place to begin to go through your business system.

2. You might want to make sure you have an 800# that you can refer prospects to but this certainly is not needed. When I began my business, I just used my cell phone #. That was fine until I got calls from people in China, and places where the time difference is very "different". (No fun being woken up at 2:00 am)

3. You want to look through your back office and find the link where you are given some suggestions for ad copy that you can use. These can be very helpful if this is your first time doing anything like this. Eventually, you will create your own ad copy and figure out what works best, but for now - these will work. A lot of companies will give you ads that they have proven to work. Don't be too concerned that they are overused. Not everybody uses them, and there are tons of places you can place your ad.

4. Some work from home companies even give you a link with all the places you can post your ad. Many of those might even be free sites where you can post free classified ads or they will at least be fairly cost effective ($10/month to post unlimited ads). In the beginning, check these out and get some ads out there. They are great places to get started and you get the practice of posting ads. I also recommend Traffic Exchanges like Traffic Swarm. Here you can place up to 10-12 ads that rotate and you keep them rotating by clicking on ads of others for points. (you can purchase points too if you'd rather not spend the time clicking)

5. You will want to then begin to get some training. Most companies will provide training to you and they have this through live calls (with a schedule posted in the back office), or maybe even live webinar where you can listen and watch the training being given. If you plan to promote your business online, then you will want to be sure and take the time to get some excellent Online Training that shows you the in's and out's of advertising and marketing online. For example, if your budget for advertising is very low since you just forked out some money to join your business, you might want to invest you time and effort into Attraction Marketing and Social Marketing. Both of these are techniques that show you how to make the most of social networks and how to provide value to prospective business partners so you have people calling you, and you don't have to chase people.

Personally, this is my preferred method of marketing because I don't care for rejection and I'd rather talk to people who want to hear what I have to talk about.

6. You may want to consider purchasing some leads if you don't have anyone to talk to and you would rather not hit up your family and friends. This could be a temporary answer to generate a lead to talk to and at least practice your script (script also can be found in most back offices). If you are following steps 4 and 5 however, you should be able to start generating some leads of your own. I found this to be much more cost effective. Check out prices to buy "quality leads" and you will know what I mean.

7. Pick up the phone and start calling people. Remember, it's only a conversation. You are simply calling to find out why this person wants a homebased business of their own, what they hope to accomplish with it, and you want to know if they really want it bad enough. (their why) If they don't have a strong enough reason to be trying to work from home with their own business, they most likely won't stick it out when things get tough. Anyone that has been around Network Marketing for any length of time knows it is not always easy, but it sure is worth it in the long run!

17. What Does It Take To Make Money In Homebased Business
Have you ever wondered what it really takes to make any money in Home Based Business? If you have, you are not alone.

With the current condition of the economy, more and more people are wondering if money can be made working from home. A lot of people are facing layoffs, business closures, foreclosure and are desperate to find a legitimate way to make some extra money. People need cash and they need it fast. How many ways do you know of to make money on demand? Probably not many.

This is where having your own homebased business in Network Marketing can be a breath of fresh air. If you get involved with the right company, you can actually make significant income while you work at home. Many Top Tier, Direct Sales companies are paying commissions of $1000, $5000, and $8000. Of course, it does take an investment to get started in one of these businesses, but if you spend $1500 to get started and your first two sales are $1000 each ($1k + $1k = $2k), well you've obviously come out ahead.

So what does it take to make some money in one of these companies?
1. You need to be serious about making money from home. This is not a test, this is not a game or a hobby. If you don't really want it bad enough you won't make it. This is why you'll see that some of the highest income earners are people that have hit rock bottom. People that have gotten close to loosing their house, their cars, their jobs, and maybe even bankruptcy know what it is to want it bad enough.

2. You need to be willing to do what it takes to make it work. That means, no giving up. Nothing good comes easy so when the going gets tough.....you need to be able to stick it out. If you are just getting started in your homebased business you are going to have a lot to learn. Just a fact. Now you can certainly shorten that learning curve by getting some good Internet Marketing Training, and you can actually get good training that does not cost you $1000's of dollars. What if you could get training that showed you how to build your business for free....no paying for expensive Google Ads, classifieds, etc.

3. You need to be building a business that has a good compensation plan. How long do you think it is going to take if the only commission you make is $10 per package of vitamins you sell? Now how much could you potentially make in a week if you are making $1000 per enrollment? (Answer: the sky is the limit)

4.You need to have a very good Marketing System.You need a system that will allow you to do several things in one system. You want to be able to advertise, you want to be able to optimize your website for the search engines, you want an email system that protects you and prevents spam with a double opt in system, and you need a built in autoresponder, that you can personalize if you choose, to keep in touch and build a relationship with your leads.

5.You need to Master Mind with like minded people You may have heard it said that if you want to know what your potential for annual income is, just look at the income of the people you hang around with. I don't know about you, but $30k a year is just not where I see myself. If you want to know how to make 6 and 7 figure incomes, maybe 6 figures a month, then you need to be hanging around the people that are doing that. You need to talk to them, listen to them, and do what they do. That simple!

6. You need to know WHY you are doing this. What is it that is going to make you stick with it when things get tough. What is it that you want to achieve when you succeed. What does your life look like at that point? You need to be able to still see your goal, and feel what it is going to be like.

There are many different things that you can do to insure success in your business but I've just covered a few of the most important ones above. If you at least have the basics I've mentioned then you have a very good chance of making money in your Home Based Business.

18. Who Else Wants Extra Income For Retirement?
Retired already, or hoping to retire soon? Then you might be considering another way to earn some additional income to supplement what ever retirement income you might be getting.

If you've been watching the latest news about the economy, the Dow Jones, and the Government Buy Out, you might be one of many people that has some serious concerns about being able to retire on your current retirement account in if's present condition. I retired from my 20 year career in March 2008 at the tender young age of 43. 19. Is Now The Time To Be Starting A Homebased Business?
With the economy as it is, some people don't believe this is the best time to launch your own Home Based Business. I disagree. Because of the economy, now is the best time ever! People no longer have control over their futures with their J.O.B's (just over broke). They are at the mercy of the economy, the corporation, the boss, and the budget cuts. Retirement accounts that people have taken years to build have been hit hard, and some people aren't even sure if they'll be able to retire. Social Security won't be here for much longer as the government can no longer fund "entitlement programs".

With the economy as it is, most people don't think now is a good time to spend money, and they don't believe that other people will spend money. That's where they are wrong. When a person is worried about whether they'll be laid off or not, will their landlord foreclose on the house they are living in, or if the cost of food and gas gets too bad, what do they give up first, and it's at this time when people either give in to what they are being dealt, or they decide to fight back. I don't mean fight in a violent sense, I mean take a stand for what they know they deserve in life and show that they won't settle for less.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of Network Marketing Scams out there today on the internet, but there are twice as many legitimate home based businesses that really do make people money. The top network marketing companies have been around for awhile, they have a proven record of success, they have a system in place that makes it easy for just about anyone to get started and earn money right away, and they have a good compensation plan. I dare say, the top network marketing companies also have negative publicity too - yes, you will see some negative comments about a company because a successfull company, making people money, is too threatening to a whole lot of other companies not doing as well. Just nature of competition I guess.

I do have a warning though for anyone considering a business they can work from home, be sure you have adequate training from a good training source. A source that teaches people how to market their business without spending more money than they are making. What's the point of building a business if you are going to go broke trying to advertise it.

I also recommend a very good Marketing System that shows people how to build ANY business they are working, again, doing it without going broke. A system that shows them how to maximize search engine optimization, generating a lead, and how to help that new lead in what ever way is appropriate for that individual (not everyone is going to join your business - but that's ok, we can still help them). In all of the systems I've been involved in, the best ones have SEO Tools, an Email system that works very hard to prevent spam, Autoresponder system that keeps your name and info in front of the people that do double opt into your system, and of course, a system that provides plenty of advertising capabilities.

With all that said, a legitimate homebased business gives people a chance to change their circumstances and to do it on their own terms. There is nothing like the freedom and piece of mind that one feels when the ups and downs of the economy do not affect them. Imagine not having to worry about what car you drive because it is a gas guzzler, but instead, you drive the car of your dreams because you want to. Imagine, you don't have to worry about the boss laying you off....you are the boss! You don't worry about your companies retirement plan or 401k, because you know you can take care of your retirement because you've the secret to Network Marketing Success. You don't worry about paying for your groceries and selling your furniture to do it because you know how to create money on demand. Life really can be that good, it really can! Don't believe me, then I hope you are very happy at your job, because you'll be working for someone else for a long time.

20. Build Relationships: Generate More Leads and Business
If you are looking to get more website traffic, more leads, and more business, then you need to consider building a relationship with the people that visit your site.

Only a small percentage of the visitors that come to your site will actually click through to your order page, most will simply leave. Even the people that really liked what your site had to offer, will also leave without buying anything. This is why it's important to give your visitors a way to hear from you again. The reality is, unless you provide some continued contact, they won't return to your site even if they did like it or even bookmarked it. This is where something like an offer to subscribe to a blog, newsletter, or an ezine proves very useful as you offer them a free benefit - continued information they can use. The key is build a quality, long term repeat-exposure, one-to-one relationship with your visitor (lead) to increase the repeat traffic to your site.

A Blog:blogging is taking the world and the internet by storm. More and more people who regularly surf the web are recognizing the blogging world and they subscribe to blogs that interest them. Since most visitors to websites are looking for information, and they are looking for content, subscribing to your blog allows visitors to get notice of any updates to the site, which in turn encourages them to come back and visit the site. When you blog, you distribute your content using RSS (really simply syndication) which reaches more people and the search engine spiders love it! Blogging is very easy and it's a very effective way to build a following and to build more traffic faster.

Newsletter/Ezine: These let YOU revisit your visitors and it gives them a reason to return to your site. Newsletters/Ezines can be about new information on your website, some new product or service you offer, or brand new content and information that is exclusive to only the subscribers of your Newsletter/Ezine. The success of your newsletter/ezine will depend on good content and you should have content they want to read, not what you want to talk about. The key is to have your lead looking forward to receiving the next issue.

Before you decide what to write for your blog or your newsletter, decide who you will write it for, and then decide why. What benefits will you provide to your subscribers? What will this person gain from reading your blog, ezine or newsletter? You want to meet the needs of the people you are targeting, so be sure and think about the types of things they want to know, need to know, or could find very useful. This is how you provide value to them.

In case you were wondering how people subscribe to your blog or newsletter, it's done through "subscription forms" which is created through easy code that is placed on your site. The great thing about subscription forms, is that the lead is sent a confirmation email confirming they wanted to sign up so now you have what they call " a double opt-in lead". Double opt-in feature helps you keep your list of leads "clean" and keeps you out of trouble and safe from Spam complaints.

Now you might be wondering how you go about creating and managing these things I've mentioned above. This is where a high quality, very effective, Marketing System comes into play. The right Home Business Marketing system will have a built in blog, a resource for creating and sending a newsletter to keep in touch with people that have opted in, and a way to create the form code you need to get them to sign up in the first place. 21. Can You Work From Home and Make Money in Networking Marketing?
Are you one of the few people (Only 3-4%) making money online right now in Network Marketing? If you are not, you are probably wondering if a person really can make a living working at home doing Network Marketing.

When I say only a few people, 3-4%, that is because most people are not willing to do what it takes to build a home based business and work from home. 96-97% of the population would rather play it safe, and keep working their job, waiting for their pension, retirement plan, or social security.

Out of the 3-4% that are actually willing to make a change in their life, only about 3%-4% of them actually succeed. The rest of the people never get their business off the ground, make any money, or they just plain give up because it requires too much effort.

3. Mistakes: You will undoubtedly make some mistakes. The first time you call a "lead" and you follow the company "script" you'll probably miss words, or skip whole sentences, or sound like your reading something, but if you keep going, and keep at it, it will eventually sound natural and you wont have to read a thing.

4. Good Marketing System: Unless you already have some marketing and advertising skills, you are going to need a good marketing system that takes the guess work out of it for you. You'll need something that won't cost you an arm and a leg to run (no money coming in yet from your business), yet is as effective if not better, than the paid stuff. (Google Adwords, etc)

5. Online Training: Training is going to be very important in your business. Not too many people are successful right out of the shoot without even a little training. Even if you've been in home based business before, you will do much better with detailed, step by step, one on one training.

6.Patience/Faith: Many of the advertisements you see on the internet today will promise you $1000's of dollars by next week if you join them, and they claim you don't have to do a thing to earn it. This simply is not true! It will take some time to get your website ranked in the search engines, it will take some time for your ads to circulate all over the net, but with the proper training and effective marketing system,(#4&5) these things will happen.

Now, I can't help you with the investment, or the discipline, and your just going to make mistakes, but I can help you with the Marketing System and the Online Training. Through a very effective mix of resources, I've discovered the way to truly build your business on the internet and not spend an arm and a leg doing it. This is especially good for those of you building your business on a very tight budget.

22. Is A Home Based Business The Answer To A Failing Economy
Dow Jones industrials nosedive nearly 780 points in their largest one-day point drop ever!!

So what happens now, the economic wreckage that the Administration and Congress have warned about — rising unemployment, shrinking nest eggs and prolonged recession? 23. Prospecting: Calling Your Home Business Leads
When I first started in Network Marketing I remember being terrified when it came time to call my leads. Initially, I purchased leads so that I could started right away and, in essence, practice my handy dandy script provided by my company. Unfortunately it took me some time to really understand what I was supposed to do when calling my leads. I was more worried about following the script properly and saying the right thing about the company,and worried about difficult questions I might encounter.

What I finally came to understand is that calling your prospect is just a conversation. I actually enjoyed the conversations a lot more when I just threw out the script, and just talked to people. You work very hard to generate leads and get traffic to your website and when some people respond, you simply call and have a conversation. I soon discovered that just having a conversation was not enough, though, I had to stop focusing on me and my needs and concentrate completely on what my prospect was looking for and what they were hoping to achieve. I came to understand that not everybody was looking for my business opportunity and not everyone was right for it.

So how do you have a conversation with your prospect and focus on them, simple, you ask them questions, and you listen! Just listen to what they say, and ask questions based on what you just heard. Just about every script out there for any business is going to cover the basic questions: Why do you want a home based business, what do you do for a living now, what is your annual income right now, what do you want your annual income to be 6, or 12 months from now. You ask about their family, what they would do if they were making the amount of money they wanted to make. Ask them how $100,000 would change their life? Best thing to do is just go with the flow. Maybe you've visited the city they live in, or you know something about the work they currently do.

You see, business is about providing value and serving the customer before yourself. If you provide value to others then you will get back what you want in return. I learned this valuable principle and more when I became a member of Renegade University. The university teaches you how to provide value to others, and at the same time, build your business. I learned how to market my business using Social Networking, and Attraction Marketing techiniques which I can do for free. I learned how to provide value to others and as a result, people contacted me and asked me about my business. 24. Home Business: Work From Home Income with Affiliate Marketing
If you have been involved Network Marketing for any length of time you may have heard the term "Affiliate Marketing" mentioned once or twice. Affiliate Marketing is about marketing a product belonging to someone else, and earning a commission based on the sale of that product. Most of the time, the commissions are not large, but they can add up. Is it worth your time?

In my opinion, Affiliate Marketing and generating leads through your promotion of someone else's product is worth a try. Another key point to consider, a lot of people will not be willing or able to join your business for a start up cost of $1500-$2000 but they might be willing to pay for that $30 E-Book that teaches them how to sell on E-Bay.

There are tons and tons of Affiliate Marketing businesses you can get involved in and all you have to do is Google the term to find them. I encourage you to join programs that market and promote products that enhance the primary business you are already working. Personally, I like the idea of not only promoting and marketing my business,but also providing tools for my associates to effectively build their business so they profit online.

25. Do Your Free Classified Ads Generate Leads For Your Business?
If you have your own home based business, chances are you are posting ads in places on the internet and maybe even print media if you have your own home based business. Question is, are those ads actually generating website traffic and sending leads to your business? If you were to Google "Free Classifieds" you have 1000's of options on where to post tons of free ads to get your business seen on the web today. Unfortunately, so do the other millions of people that are working from home building their own home based business and trying to get people to see their website.

That is why it is very important to create ads that are actually getting your website seen by as many people as possible. So how does a person ensure their ads generate the kind of traffic they want to capture? The most obvious answer would be to create ads that peak the attention of people that see it. It's imperative your ad says something that intriques the reader and gets them to actually click on your link. Googles Free Keyword Tool is an excellent tool to use to get an idea of keyword phrases you can use based off the most searched keywords.

26. Generating Free Home Business Leads and What To Do With Them
If you want your home based business opportunity to be a success, you need to generate traffic to your website which turns into a lead for your business. Generating those leads might be one of the toughest parts of working your internet business but it can be one of the most important.

There are several different ways to generate leads but in this post I'll be focusing on the free methods. Personally, I've bought and paid for leads and spent way too much money and discovered that buying leads is not always the best way to go. Sure, it's the quick way to get leads and you can get people to see your website, but personally, I'd rather have a person see my website because they want to see it and they are actually looking for what I have to offer. Nothing worse than chasing leads that don't want anything to do with you.

Believe it or not, you might not be able to help some people. I suggest you call people with a true and genuine interest in assisting them in some way.

If you have been working at building a Home Based Business for even just a little bit of time, you have no doubt come across or submitted a classified ad. You know that you can pay for classified ads, or you can submit free ads but do they really work? 31. Are Free Leads Really Free
Try doing a search in Google for Free Leads and you are going to get a ton of results. Question is, are free leads really free? I've taken the bait, hook, line and sinker, and found myself on a page that promises me 10,000 leads if I sign up and pay for a membership that costs me monthly. So much for Free!

I'm here to tell you that you really can generate free leads to your website and get people to your business and it doesn't have to cost you a thing. Not all lead generation is the same though. I'm sure you've heard of traffic generation sites such as Traffic Swarm, Triple Your List, and many many more. These are all great sites and they do generate leads, but those leads come with a price in one way or another. Traffic Swarm requires you to click on the ads of other members spending at least 20 seconds on each ad in order to get enough points to have your own website showing. You can also buy points to get your site showing and generate leads, but then that's not free is it? Through Triple Your List you simply sign up as a member and depending on your level of membership, you get leads from that system. The catch here is that some of these leads can be years old and if you aren't careful in how you communicate with them, you can be accused of spamming. That's no fun!

My favorite (and in my opinion most effective) lead generation site I use for my own generation of free leads is Free FFAS. I typically generate at least 3500-4000 free leads each day through the Free FFAs system and I've only been at it for a few weeks. I have the potential of generating up to 10,000 leads a day.

The Free FFA program is for those people who need the most marketing potential available on the Internet. If you consider yourself a serious online marketer only, there is only one program available that will far exceed your expectation and meet your needs due it s automated verification technology. Even though this program might be free, don't let that fool you, this program offers more than some marketing plans on the internet today that could be costing you hundreds of dollars a year instead.

34. How To Use Traffic Swarm Effectively
Are you using Traffic Surfing sites to generate traffic to your website? Are you using Traffic Swarm?

Traffic Swarm is an excellent way to generate traffic. You sign up for an account with them and you agree to click on ads of other members in order to get credits that allow you to rotate a website of your own. When others members are clicking for credits, they will click on your ad and potentially create the traffic to your site you hope for, or maybe even a sale.

There is a secret to using Traffic Swarm most effectively though, and most people aren't doing it. Most people either join for free, or upgrade their membership and have the ability to create up to 10 different ads in their Traffic Swarm account. This is extremely helpful when you have a couple of different businesses that you might be promoting. The down side is that it takes points to get your sites to rotate and you have to click on others sites to get points (unless you purchase credit but I like to avoid having to pay for anything)

When you have an extremely effective Marketing System like the Veretekk Marketing System which comes fully equipped with everything you need to manage several business opportunities, you can maximize the benefits of Traffic Swarm ads.

39. Work From Home, Beach or Hospital ....
On my last blog post I talked about being grateful for the opportunity to work from home. I had been dealing with an injury my 81 year old mother had sustained and was very happy to know I didn't have to leave for work each day. Instead, I could take care of my mothers need and be there for her. Unfortunately, Saturday, I had to admit my mother to the hospital when her injury worsened and she developed a fever, dehydration, and a blood sugar level of 238.

Once again, I felt immense gratitude for being able to work from home - or in this case - hospital. 40. Benefits Of Home Based Business Opportunity
I've been enjoying every day of the 2008 Summer Olympics and if you've been watching them yourself, you know they don't end early each night. I live in Pacific Standard Time but with the time difference with China, the games are being broadcasted until about 1:00 a.m each morning. 42. Home Business Equals Discount Travel Worldwide
Today I wanted to blog about a benefit of having your own Home Based Business allowing you to work from home.  This topic hits close to home for me because it's something I love dearly: Travel!  I absolutely love to travel and find myself going somewhere several times a year.  Lately, my vacations have been on a larger scale.  I've been to Rome Italy in April and Oahu Hawaii in July, and I plan one more trip to Kauai Hawaii in December.  Can you tell I just LOVE Hawaii.

Talk about watching the calendar to be the first one to put my time down.

When I travel now, I don't have to ask for time off, my only consideration is making arrangements for my kids, pets, and household. I take my lap top with me, and I have an excellent mobile phone service that even lets me make calls in Italy, Russia, Australia.  I went to Australia last year and absolutely loved it and my cell phone worked like a charm. Laptop too....and because I have wireless service, no issue what so ever getting service. I have to tell you, I didn't spend a whole lot of time on my laptop when in Australia, Rome or Hawaii.  I was out and about looking around.

As I watch the 2008 Summer Olympics I can't help but watch in awe at the stamina, the strength, and above all the Persistence the athletes have in each of their sports. 45. Home Business: Why Bother working from home?

46. Keywords: How Crucial Are They In Home Business Marketing
If you are marketing a home business, especially on the internet, you need to know how critical Keywords are to your success. 47. Turbo Charging Your Traffic and Lead Generation
How does a home business owner actually go about turbo charging their website traffice and lead generation? In previous posts I talked about Social Networking through Social sites such as MySpace, Facebook, Youtube, Direct Matches, Yuwie, Zenzuu, etc. Social Networking wors well because as you become more social on these sites ( interact with other people) your profile page gets more views. If you've got your profile set up correctly with just the right amount of information, you can market your business and what you are doing without a sales pitch. The goal is to get to know people, have them get to know you but also provide information on your business and interests without too much hype.

Blogs
As you get your profiles situated on various Social Sites, you can be working on other very affective methods of generating leads and traffic. One very effective method is a blog, just like the one you are reading. Blogs are search engine friendly and the spiders seem to favor them, especially if done daily and your content is consistently changing. Ezine Articles are another very effective tool for lead generation and getting traffic to your website. You don't have to be an English major to write articles. Videos
This is not an area I have a lot of experience in, but videos are an excellent way to generate tremendous traffic to your website and generate leads for your business. Search Engines love videos and favor them in search engine rankings so you and your site get ranked better. Want to see what I mean, just check out YouTube. Videos are actually very very easy to make since most computers with Windows have Windows Movie Maker.

The three techniques I've mentioned above will generate a good deal of leads for you if you try your hand at 1 or all of them. In the meantime, you can continue to submit ads to search engines through programs like Blastomatic and Leadsomatic. Lead generation got you down? Are you satisfied with the amount of leads your generating daily or could you use a few more? How's your current system working for you? Do you have a current lead generation system?

If you have been working any kind of Home Based Business for any amount of time then you know how important lead generation is to the success of your business. In essence, no traffic to your site, no business, no profit.

I can only speak for myself but this area of lead generation has been the most frustrating part of my experience in business. These sites and many more like them are very easy to set up and unbelievably effective. The whole point of sites like these are the social aspect. It's about making contacts, networking and business building together. What ever you do, don't get caught up in trying to sell and make your site full of sales pitches and hype. You want to talk about what you have to offer and let people get to know who you are and what you are about. You can have links on your Myspace page, etc but you don't want to SCREAM sales.

The best tip I can give you here is to make friends. Yea...I said make friends, you know that stuff we used to do really easy as kids. That's what you are back to doing in 21st century marketing. I'm serious. The way you do that is this: Go to my, Facebook site, click on my friends, then request to be friends as a mutual friend of Regina Floyd. Now you can do this with anybody you know that currently has a profile on Facebook and believe me, just about everybody does. This is the new Social Marketing Web 2.0. Once you start making friends, you maintain some type of communications with them through Facebook. You'll see there are tons of silly little things you can do to maintain friendships, such as send flowers, play games, etc. As you develop friends, and relationships, people start visiting your page and see more about you and your business.

This concept applies to Myspace, Directmatches, and just about all of the social sites out there. Direct Matches is a social site specifically for Business People and also gives you an opportunity to place classified ads, etc. Great place to begin and free to join.

In most of my past blogs I've talked about generating leads for your business and how you can advertise your website. I gave you resources such as Blastomatic. So what do you do once you start generating the extra leads to your business?

In the last few days I've been talking alot about Lead Generation and giving several examples of how one might go about generating additional traffic to their business website. 58. Cost Effective Traffic and Lead Generation
Lets face it, there are literally hundreds of ways to bring in traffic to your site.I have personally tried almost all of them and can honestly tell you most aren't worth your time let alone hard earned ad dollars. Do you really have time to click on 100's of emails to get enough points to show your ad once?

I first tried traffic exchanges like Traffic Swarm, List Joe and List Bandit which work pretty good, but you must be ready and willing to click on several emails and surf enough site to generate points to have your ad seen. It works, but it takes quite a bit of time and effort.

Other fun, and highly effective, resources to use in generating leads, especially for FREE are places like MySpace.com , Facebook, YUWIE, Direct Matches
